Uwf-1 connection issues
I purchased the UWF-1 and installed on my TX-NR609 and it is unable to pick up a signal from my router (cisco E1200). I updated the formware and it still comes with failed connection, no access point??? Other wireless devices pick up my router signal fine......what now?

Re: Uwf-1 connection issues
Hi hdfx,
I would like for you to perform a test to see if the issue is with the UWF-1. Can you disconnect the UWF-1 and connect an ethernet cable to the back of the receiver to your router. If you are able to connect using the cable then we will know the issue is with the UWF-1. Thank you for contacting Product Support via our forum!

Hi
Then that confirms that the issue is within the adapter. Please contact our parts and service department about a replacement: (201) 785-2600, option 4.
Thank you for choosing Onkyo!

Re: Uwf-1 connection issues
Hi hdfx,
Please perform the latest firmware update on your reciever, this allow the UWF-1 to work properly with your reciever. After performing the firmware please perform a factory reset. There's some important information you need to know before performing the reset, please read our blog post on the subject. It will also tell you how to do it: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/factory-reset/

Hi hdfx,
The UWF-1 only works with a "visible" network. Could it be that your network is hidden?

Re: Uwf-1 connection issues
No....it is visible by other wireless devices. Last night after removing the UWF-1 from the USB port I lost all signal to the TV (from all sources). I was forced to complete another factory reset to regain signal and the UWF-1 picked up the network for a short time but kicked me out and now will not find the signal again and acts exactly like before. Perhaps a better option would be to return the UWF-1 and install a wirelss bridge.................
