NR-708 listening mode problems

It appears that Onkyo finally agreed that there were some issues with these 708 listening modes. I had called support a few times in January (2011) and the set-up support people said the issue was on my end. Then 11 months later they did finally acknowledge that there were issues. I shipped it out to the repair facility for the LM fixes, and just hooked it up last night. Too soon to tell, but has anyone else had these same issues with this unit?

I'll try to run the Audyssey set up for the speakers, but is there any help available with "setting up" of the listening modes? I'm a novice at this stuff and want it to sound good.

Hi Dale,
We recommend you run through audyssey because it will calibrate your speakers. As for setting up the listening modes that information can be found on page 53 of your owners manual.
