Two subwoofers: options connecting to NR616

Onkyo, is there an advantage/disadvantage connecting each of the subwoofers to the TWO sub woofer outputs on the 616 vs connecting them to the L/R surround outputs?

What connections does your subwoofer support? If you are using powered subwoofers; you should use the subwoofer pre-out terminals over the SURR L/R outputs- as you'd want the LFE signal to output from the S/W pre-out and not the SURR pre-outs.
