NR616 Audio Return Channel

I recently purchased an NR616 and am having problems getting the audio return channel to work. The OUT MAIN is connected through a HDMI 1.4 cable to my LG55LM7600 tv through the HDMI marked "ARC OUT".

Per the user's manual, I have RIHD set to "on" and Audio Return Channel set to "Auto". On the LG side, I have ARC set to AUTO.

When I am playing a source from the TV (Netflix, etc.) I choose the TV/CD source on the receiver, but I get no sound.

Is there anything I am not doing correctly?

Have you enabled HDMI control in the TV? My Panasonic wouldn't have anything to do with ARC until I did that...

I have enabled RIHD, which is what the LG manual says to do to enable ARC. I hooked up an optical cable to feed sound back from the TV. Works great. Although I would still like to know why I couldn't get the ARC working.
