Hi hdfxrs,

I would be more than happy to help. What I would need though is what cables do you intend on using?

Thanks. I have used HDMI to connect two different Blue-ray players to my SR-508, which is then output to my 1080p TV via HDMI. I get sound through my SR-508, but no picture at my TV. I have a conventional DVD player set up the same way and it works fine.

I don't know if this information may be relevant but I had the same problem with a new TX-NR709: no video, only audio through the HDMI input with two different Blu-Ray players. I solved the problem when I bought a version 1.4 HDMI cable. Even the cable supplied by the Blu-Ray manufacturer did not give video signal, audio only.

Hi laudou,

Thank you for the suggestion. It is always a good idea to have a high-speed HDMI 1.4 cable connected. This may help hdfxrs with the issue.

Thanks. I'll try that on the input and output.

I tried 1.4 HDMI cables. The video looks like it's trying to come through, but will not. Any other suggestions?

I'm sorry you did not have the same success I had with 1.4 HDMI cables. Maybe a particular setting in you Blu-Ray player.
