Onkyo Ht-RC270 will not turn off

As the title says my HT-RC270 will not power off. The remote doesn't work nor does the on/standby button on the receiver. I have tried leaving the unit unplugged for over 24 hours and tried the unit reset to no avail. I've barely had this unit for over a year, I surely hope it's not already broken.

Please help!

sorry man, but sounds broken. should still be under warranty, call onkyo support for the nearest authorized repair shop.
