No surround sound from speakers for NETFLIX

I have my smart TV hooked up to the HDMI1 OUT MAIN on my TX-NR609, how would I get sound for netflix coming from the Speakers?

I have a samsung TV and they said I have to use an optic cable also to get sound from the TV.

Hi 02Lightning,
If your Smart TV has ARC (audio return channel) on it and you are connecting it to with HDMI to the receivers HDMI main out and you've followed the instructions in the manual for using this option, it should work fine.
