TX-SR309 cuts off

I've got a TX-SR309 and after the unit is turned on from the front panel or remote it turns back off. it you immediately turn it back on it'll stay on. I've tried factory resetting it with the dvr/vcr button

I'd like for you to try and disconnect all the speaker wires from the back of the unit and turn the volume to max while playing a source, if it still shuts off then the unit is going into protect mode and will need to be either taken to a service center or returned the dealer for an exchange provided you are within their exchange period.
