TX_NR609 cuts out Empty TX_NR609 cuts out

Post  rautenrieth Sun Jan 15, 2012 11:12 am

I connected the TX-NR 609 yesterday. I notice it cuts out once in awhile.Lasts about a second. So far it has happened ~ 4x in 24 hours.
All the other equipment and cables that worked previously are the same. I did the on line update as soon as it was connected to the internet.
Any solutions, fixes for this?
Thank You

is this a new unit, or used? Is the "cut-out" during high volume levels or at any volume level?

are your speakers the correct ohm rating and is the receiver set to match?

No Idea. Wouldn't that affect the unit all the time?

usually only under moderate to high volume. I dont believe the 609 is adjustable, and the recommended ohm rating is 6-8 ohms. what speakers are you using? this sounds like a faulty unit. if you purchased it locally at a retail store, exchange it for another one. if you got it inline you will probably have to pay shipping to return it. personally I love that series of receiver: 606,607,608,609. its a great entry level set up thats not so entry level.

Hi rautenrieth,

Does this happen on all inputs or just one? Also how do you have this connected?
