TX-NR509 AV/Sync issue
Hardware is as follows:
Onkyo TX-NR509 (Obviously)
Apple TV 2
BD Sony BDP-S580
Westinghouse LD-3255
Martin Logan MLT-2
Set up:
Blu Ray = HDMI 1 into Onkyo
Apple TV = HDMI 2
TV = Coax to TV, optical out from TV to optical 2 in Onkyo
Problem is A/V Sync. Most of the time it seems like audio is either slightly ahead of the video, or less than 10ms behind. I have tried various combinations of delay for each device as well as on/off of lip sync. I'll try all the firm ware upgrades available for the TV and the Onkyo as well as factory resets but I'm not truly confident the results will be any different as everything seems to "functioning" as designed. Is there a tool to help calibrate sync between various devices to determine actual delay? What other logical trouble shooting should be considered before return of the Onkyo as this everything synced properly prior to this addition?
BTW - Sound is great!!!

Re: TX-NR509 AV/Sync issue
Hi aaron8476,
Does this happen on all inputs that you have connected or is this just on one?

Re: TX-NR509 AV/Sync issue
This is with all connections for all connected devices. Though the TV which sends audio via optical cable seems closest to real time. Since posting the first time I have tries a system rest, upgraded firmware for all devices and switched out hdmi cables with no change.

Re: TX-NR509 AV/Sync issue
Hi aaron8476,
If you've already done the reset which should have resolved it then the only other thing I can suggest is either return it for an exchange if you are within the dealers return period or take/send to an authorized service center as this should not be happening based on what you've described.
