Solution to Blu-Ray Picture Glitching with TX-NR609 HDMI Connection

For those who are interested and are having this problem, here is the solution given to me on the phone by Onkyo Tech Support. And it worked immediately!

The problem is with the settings in the blu-ray player. My player is the Panasonic DMP-BDT210.

Go into the picture settings:
Select the HDMI Resolution and change it to 1080p.
Change the 24p Output to OFF.
Change the DEEP COLOR OUTPUT to OFF.

That instantly solved the problem. For other players, the menus may be labeled slightly different but the settings should be similar. I was told that some units will work with the Resolution set to 1080i and the DEEP COLOR OUTPUT turned on. Mine didn't but you can give it a try.
