TX-NR414 HDMI Inputs
After 2 months, finally thought I had mastered how the 414 did its thing; however, was always puzzled that my BlueRay/DVD HDMI input never triggered my sub-woofer unless I changed the audio profile to double bass subwoofer. Lived with that for a month; put a new Netflix BlueRay in on Saturday and got a blue screen. After messing with just about everything I could conceive of, I swapped inputs from the BR/DVD to the 'Game' input. Voila - not only did I get my HD picture back, but the subwoofer was active without the change to double bass. Issue is, I've now lost one channel of the 6 it came with. Do I wait to lose more when it's out of warranty, or do I chance it?

NOW they tell me......
I called support, talked to "Mike" who didn't seem to care or listen to my problem about losing the BD/DVD input, as I initially told him that I'd changed the input to the GAME input and it worked. So he said "And all the inputs don't work?" So I repeated myself twice to get across to him that it worked fine on the Game input but not the BD/DVD. So he told me to do a 'reboot/clear' by holding down the cab/sat input and hitting the power button. Display said "CLEAR", so I assume it reset the input. But the receiver is in a cabinet and very difficult for me to get to the inputs. I'll leave it on the game input for now. Perhaps Mike should attend an advanced listening course and get an attitude adjustment.
