NR414 HDMI issues

Guess Ill post this to see of any suggestions and so others know that it too can have issues. I have an appletv2 which works fine through HDMI to my receiver, though I also have a Phillips Bluray that does not work to play movies. It will display the menus even in netflix I can choose a movie and that is all visible just fine. As soon as I hit play I get a resolution err on the display and the picture drops. I do get sound but no picture. Works fine if directly connected to the TV. Though the appletv2 works fine through the receiver or directly.

I am running the newest firmware. Tried setting the bluray to a static resolution. Switched cables etc.
