Front Speakers

Hi, i just purchased the Onkyo HT-S8400 system. It has tower speakers for the front, my question is can they be used for rear surround instead because my tv is hung above a fireplace. Thanks

Hi gordob,
You could but it may not sound the same as the tower speakers were made for the fronts and not the rear. Also, you may get some errors when running the Audyssey setup. Thank you for contacting Onkyo via our forum.
