TX-NR616 where is the firmware

Greetings,

Just got a new NR616 and the instructions say to update the firmware before doing anything else.

Went to the download site and it says:

"This Firmware is temporarily unavailable due to server maintenance.We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your kind understanding."

What should I do?

Check again on the website in a few hours. No worries. you can use the AVR now. As a matter of fact, check to see if you even need to update. It may be that you already have the current version. Setup>Hardware setup>Firmware Update.... read the version number and check with the website when back up.

FYI, If you have a handy clean (no data) thumb drive, use it to download the data from Onkyo to it. Then follow the simple instruction in your manual for "updating the firmware via usb". It is seemingly less troublesome than using the "ethernet" method.

Same problem here. That message has been up and the maintenance going on for maybe a week now. Direct download of the firmware I need is not available either.

The way the updates have been going on other models, I wouldn't rush to install any update right now.
