HT-S7300 Reciever Empty HT-S7300 Reciever

We purchased this system in February 2011 online from a different seller. The surround sound has been working great until today. In the middle of a video game the reciever goes out, I have a picture but no sound. We switched HDMI cables and there was no sound. We went through all of the components and we still do not get a sound.

We will take any suggestions at this point before we take it in to be serviced.

Hi fr_em,

I apologize for the delay in responding but do you get and pink noise when using the level calibration? To get there you would enter setup ===> Speaker setup ===> Level cal. Just press return to get out.

Thank you,

Thanks for getting back to me. We don't get any noise at all just a picture. The reciever was hot to the touch & after letting the system rest for 1 full day the reciever was still warm. I am still not quite sure what else it could be. I will try your suggestion & let you know how that goes. The reciever that came with the surround sound is the HT-R680.
