Problem with Onkyo TX-SR608 HDMI

I am having an issue with the Onkyo TX-SR608 and the OSD with HDMI. Basically, when my display is set to AUTO on the receiver for an HDMI device (for example, a PS3) -the display is stretched, including the on screen display menu.
I have a video recorded showing exactly what is going on, but I am unable to post links.
I have connected the game console and the digital cable box to the television, and they look fine. But when I have them going through the receiver, everything is stretched. I can barely see what the on screen display menu says because it is so stretched out. Note; I'm referring to Onkyo's osd, nevertheless everything else is stretched as well. Please help![left]
