Unable to get sound from cb/opt button

I have some remote speakers in another room hooked to the receiver (model #HTR670) but I can't get the sound from my cable TV box. I can get sound from the FM/AM tuner. The book says to press the zone2 button it says Z2 SELECT SOURCE which I did but can't get sound. Since I'm getting sound from the FM tuner, I believe it must be wired ok and I'm doing something wrong. What could it be??

OK - received a call back from product/support and the problem is the cable box needs an analog connection to the receiver. I've supplied that and it now works fine.
