Integra 9.8 - HDMI board failure.
Good Morning,
My Integra 9.8 has stopped passing video via HDMI - audio works, but has a 'muted' popping.
I have swapped cables and tested all HDMI outs and the problem persists on each.
When I bypass the unit's HDMI and connect directly to my projector video is fine.
When the 9.8 is powered on my projector displays a green screen with a digital horizontal banding pattern.
I have contacted a certified Onkyo/Integra service center, explained the problem and worked through their troubleshooting checklist.
The service center is telling me the HDMI board has failed; they are telling me this is $600 parts/labor and I'm looking at another ~$100 in shipping the unit - the closest service center to me is ~250 miles.
I'm the original owner and have the sales receipt; what options do I have?
I honestly cannot justify investing ~$700 USD into a 4 year old platform.
Edit - Can anyone help me source the HDMI board?
