TX NR 515 - Check SP Connection
I have had my brand new TX NR 515 for a week. I have it connected to a Martin Logan MLT-2 5.1 CH setup. The speakers have the following specs.
• 130 - 20,000 Hz ±2db, 2300 Hz Crossover Freq Center Speaker
• 8 Ohms
• 120 watts RMS (360 watts peak) Subwoofer
My issue is, if I am watching a movie and turn it above level 37, the receiver turns off and gives me the error Check SP connection when I turn it back on. It works fine for a while until it turns off again. However, this is not an issue if I turn it down. To me the speakers should be able handle this increase in volume, but for some reason the receiver is giving me an issue. I have checked all of my connections and the only thing I am worried about is the sub woofer which is connected by a simple RCA cable. The inputs work fine for regular TV as well as any PS3 games provided I do not turn it too loud. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am an audio newbie.
I also have zone 2 connected to 2 Dual 3 way indoor/outdoor speakers which have a maximum output of 50 watts. But I have not yet used zone 2 because I am not sure what outputs are supported.
