TX-NR809 Zone 2 Android App 1.20
There seems to be a fundamental flaw with the way "zone two" controls are set up. I can select a source just fine but I cant control any of the "net" functions without "zone one" being turned on and the source set to net.
Example
I am having a BBQ and the 809 is in the den where My uncle is watching T.V. I have a powered "zone 2" set up on the deck where we are listening to "Sirius Internet Radio" I now want to change to the dlna sever in order to do so I would have to use "zone one to go into the net controls and change the setting to play music from my server therefore interrupting my uncle who is watching tv.
It would seem that the android app 1.20 update addresses this issue slightly by allowing you to at least change channels on the sirius internet radio sequentially (with out the ability to drill through the categories) if you happened to of had had net set to sirius previously but it doesn't go far enough . I should be able to fully control the net settings while in zone 2 ( ability to change net source dlna, sirius or whatever) with out having to disturb zone 1.
Are there any plans to address this fundamental flaw.

+1 to the original post.
I just registered to say that I, too, would like to see added zone 2 control on the TX-NR809 through the Android App. I have zone 2 set up powered from the 809 going to some outdoor speakers on the deck. I'd be nice to change Pandora stations while not interfering with zone 1.

Hi, Has there been any development on this? This really is a big flaw and is worthy of a firmware or software update. what good is a zone two that you cant use because you don't want to disturb zone 1?I this is something that the hardware is not capable of let me know, I will make other arrangements. But it just seems like something that could be remedied quite easy.

I agree
There should be a way to change sound selection without having to disturb zone 1. I also think there should be an easier way to watch a video with a different sound. Funny thing is Pioneer has had this option for years. They call it v-select. You can be listening to music and hit v-select to change the video to another source like a PS3 for my son to play. Hope you guys are working on this. I'm sure it's just a matter of writing some new codes.
Thanks.
Thanks.
