Onkyo HT-R590 Subwoofer Default
My new Onkyo HT-R590 works well except that the subwoofer always resets to a default of -5db setting. Each time I use the system, I have to push the plus button on the front of the receiver and manually change the subwoofer up to zero or +1 level. When I first got the system, I did the setup with Audessy using the microphone, but the subwoofer did not get set right. I tried to set the subwoofer level using the on-screen controls, but I don't see any way to adust the subwoofer level. I do see a "subwoofer on" or "off " button. Any suggestion for how to permanently set the subwoofer level?

Re: Onkyo HT-R590 Subwoofer Default
Hi Coolabie,
The defaults as with all speaker defaults is zero or “0db" not "-5db". Once set it should stay set at whatever level you have it at. I'm not sure why it drops back to -5db. Please refer to page 37 of the manual for instructions concerning the level calibration of the speakers including the subwoofer.
