TX-NR609 HDMI Issues
Just bought the amp for my gaming system (PS3), and whenever I plug the PS to the receiver to the gaming port and then take the output HDMI from the receiver to the TV (Toshiba LCD) I get a no signal message on both the receiver and the TV.
However when I plug the PS to the TV directly, I get both picture and sound. I have cleared the setting twice using the (DVD/VCR)+ON switch combo a couple of times and nothing changes.
The other odd thing, is that when I plug in my iPod touch to the receiver, it comes through fine, yet with the iPhone it has issues.
Now I have tried to plug in the PS to the other HDMI ports and switching on the receiver, and still nothing happens.
I really like the amp, I just wish the HDMI ports would work...
Anybody help?

Re: TX-NR609 HDMI Issues
Hi lunarez,
Are you able to see the OSD (on screen display) when you press the setup button?

Re: TX-NR609 HDMI Issues
lunarez, you might want to try the video reset on the ps3. The ps3 has long had problems with plugging into one device and then switching to another.
if you have a fat ps3, plug it into the receiver and press and hold the power button. its been a LONG time since i've done it, but i think it will beep once for powering up, and then beep again to say its reset the video.
If you have a slim model you should do a search for slim ps3 video reset. It might not have the same video issues that the fat ones have, but might as well look.
I'm with you on the hdmi issues of the 609. if it wasn't for the cheap price, i would have returned mine a week after i bought it... I'm going to go post my own topic on my issues right now.
