TX NR3007 Sound Issue Empty TX NR3007 Sound Issue

Hello Onkyo,
My TX-NR3007 receiver loses all sound from main speakers but Video works. Occasionally I can turn the device off and on several times and the sound returns. I recently took my receiver to an authorized repair center in Plano Tx (AJ Electronics) to repair the issue and they replaced some components on the HDMI Sound Board and said the issue is resolved…. Well it was not resolved, I took the device back to them and they said they repaired the sound board again. That did not fix the problem. I was charged $200 to fix this issue and not this company want us to spend another $800 to replace the sound board.

On the Onkyo products forum, it seems that this is a prevalent issue with this model and lots of people are paying to replace the sound board. I would suspect there is a recall. Can you pls direct me to my options to get this fixed. My device is just over 3 yrs old and I don’t think its appropriate to spend $1400 to buy this device and 3 yrs later spend $800 to fix what seems to be a systemic issue.

Pls advise.
