609 Sound Skipping

I have all HDMI inputs and outputs. 5 speaker, 1 sum, professionally installed (flush mounted).

Problem: Every 4 or 5 seconds the sound skips for a second and it only happens with certain channels (cable bx) and Bluerays. Most channels and Bluerays sound perfect but 20% have this sound skipping and it is annoying. 4/5 uploaded new firmware. Still an issue. Any ideas?

Without knowing exactly how the installers has set this up it is hard to say why this is happening. If you can and to help me diagnose the issue further, tell me how everything is connected including any cables and if you have any adapters. Thank you.

It's your cable box that has the audio drop outs. I had the same issue with U-Verse, call your provider and get a new box (different model number). To check this you can switch the cable box from surround to stereo and it will go away. Switch it back to surround and it will come back.
