NR 509 Video / Audio problem
Hi All,
I need some help to solve problems that I am facing with a new home theatre installation.
As of now the set-up is as below:
Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR509
DVD Player: Sony DVP NS728H
TV: Sony LCD EX-400
Speakers : Bose AM 10
The connections are as follows:
HDMI Cable - DVD Player to Receiver
DMI Calbe - Reciever to TV
I have two issues :
1) The Video is not clear, its seems one of the colour (out of RGB) is missing in Picture output, which is perfect while DVD player directly to TV via same HDMI cable.
2) Audio is very low; the sound is audible only after volume level above 20.
Appreciate your suggestions at the earliest.
Thanks,
Charles.

Re: NR 509 Video / Audio problem
Hi charles.fernandes,
Since you have already tested your cables we can rule that out as the issue. Do you have the latest firmware update on your unit? If not, please update it. If you do then I am going to ask you to try reseting the unit to see if that corrects the problem. Also if you download the firmware and that does not work please reset the unit. All the information about the reset can be found on our blog. Here is the link: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/factory-reset/ Please read it carefully. If this does not correct the issue please keep us posted so we can continue to help you. Thank you for choosing Onkyo and We apologize for the issue you're having.

Re: NR 509 Video / Audio problem
Hello,
Thanks for your prompt response, I have done below actions:
1) Updated the latest firmware which is now Version 1071-1000-0000-0103, problem still continues.
2) Performed RESET / Clear as per your suggestion.
The picture issue is resolved, however the volume stills seems to be lower.
You advice please.
Regards,
Charles.

Re: NR 509 Video / Audio problem
Hi charles.fernandes,
When you do the reset it resets everything including the volume to factory levels which is the bass of "0". Have you re-run the Audyssey setup again?
