Optical Audio

Hi, I´ve heard that optical audio can be considered digital but also as analog, If I plug in my Apple Tv into the optical input, will I be able to listen it in the zone 2?

Unfortunately, no that would not work. If you are going in analog then you must go out analog, if you go in optical then you must go out optical. Zone 2 is only an analog (RCA) connection so it will only work when connected that way. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Onkyo.
