DLNA Supported Playlist Format Empty DLNA Supported Playlist Format

Post  SVNoto Mon Mar 19, 2012 10:28 pm

Hello all,

I currently have a TX-8050 and a TX-NR509. Can anyone tell me how to create playlists that the DLNA-Net connection will recognize? I am able to play songs flawlessly and can browse by song/artist/album/etc but have been unable to create a playlist for the life of me.

Thanks in advance everyone. Hopefully Onkyo/the community has an answer study

Hi SVNoto,

The only requirement on the Onkyo side is that it be what's on page 35 in the manual and comply with DLNA 1.5.

Please be more specific. Page 35 does not refer to playlist formats or playlists at all.

Very simply, which playlist format is supported/recognized by Onkyo receiver(s)?

I created playlists in Windows media player and it has worked fine on my TX-NR1009.

Hi SVNoto,

Apologies, you would create your playlists on your PC, the page I referred you too was for the supported formats.

DLNA Supported Playlist Format Empty Mezzmo DLNA client.

I have a trial run going with Mezzmo (http://www.conceiva.com/products/mezzmo/default.asp) it works very well so far. I can't comment of the video streaming part, frankly I have little interest in it. When I get the New iPad I will do that with Apple TV. It scanned the three terabytes of music, videos and photo's I have. Pulled in the stuff indexed on iTunes, including the play lists. Setting up play lists with Mezzmo is straight forward, and it plays every format out there, many I have never heard of. I am streaming to an iPod Touch 4G and I am very pleased with how it works the only thing it isn't doing is displaying album art not sure why and I haven't looked into is yet, it could be something that isn't activated with a 15 day trial copy. It costs $29.95 but if it continues to work as it is now I will purchase it, as they say you get what you pay for. Very Happy
