Are AAC streams for net radio supported?

I have an Onkyo NR579 AV Receiver.

I use the Onkyo Web Setup Menu on my PC to manage all my internet radio steams.

URL's for MP3 and WMA streams work. But URL's for AAC streams will not work (and I mean AAC, not AAC-Plus).

Are AAC streams supported?

As an example, at SOMA FM's Groove Salad channel the WMA and MP3 streams work, but the superior sounding AAC ones won't. After just a few seconds the error message is: "The server connection could not be established or was terminated early".

It's the same situation with other net stations such as the Digitally Imported and SKY.

Help would be appreciated.

Please confer with Onkyo Eurpoe or Onkyo Asia's Product Support department regarding the specifications of the TX-NR 579. As it is currently not available in the NORTH AMERICAN market; Onkyo EU Product Support department will be able to assist you further.
