Onkyo 809 stops Sony HW30 projector from powering on
I have an Onkyo 809 AV receiver and a Sony HW30ES projector. I had an issue a few months back when the PJ would not power on if the Onkyo was turned on first, but the problem was rectified by ensuring the PJ was on first.
However, over the last few days the problem has returned. Basically the PJ will not power on (from remote or unit itself) UNLESS the Onkyo is unplugged, irrespective of the "boot" order. As soon as I unplug it, the projector fires up first time.
I did do a firmware update on the Onkyo and wondered if this may be the problem? I did see this on another forum but people seem to find my original solution to work i.e. power on PJ first, then Onkyo but as I said, this has stopped working for me.
The only thing I have noticed, is that now, even when the Onkyo is on standby, there is a little illuminated "NET" permanently on the OSD - which I am sure there never was before the update - is this supposed to be there and could it be relevant?
Any ideas as to how to resolve?

Hi rjs1974,
The latest firmware update should have resolved this issue. Please down load the update and give it another try.

Hello,
I did download the firmware and that appears to have caused the problem, not resolved it.
What was done int he update in relation to this issue?

Hi rjs1974,
I apologize that you are having these issues. This is another fix that may resolve it, try using the HDMI splitter that we have been recommending to Integra dealers (the Transformative Engineering HS-12) please let me know if this does or does not resolve the issue for you.
