ZONE 2 PROBLEM

Zone 2 works fine with the tuner and with rca cords from DVD to game port in addition to normal connection. I am trying to play music from by PC through zone 2 without success.
The PC is connected to amplifier with HDMI. I realize that I need an analog signal to use it on zone2 and tried a digital to analog converter using a toslink connection but get nothing. Can you help?

Please reread original post. I have a digital to analog converter coming out of my pc and zone 2 still will not respond. What more do I have to do???

I am assuming you can listen to the music you have stored on your PC in the main zone using this connection. If you can not either then we can assume it is either with a setting in your PC or the DAC itself.

I have the PC connected with HDMI and it works fine. I have a second connection - toslink to converter to receiver - that I am trying get into Zone 2.

My question was can you get the analog audio to play on the main zone without the HDMI plugged in. Just make sure that the HDMI is unplugged as that will take priority over all other formats.

No, I cannot get the analog output to play on the main speakers even with the hdmi disconnected.

If you can not even get it to play on the main zone without the HDMI cable then there is either a setting that needs to be set in the PC or the converter is not compatible.
