No digital audio output on NR-807
My computer, DVD and Blu-Ray/SACD player are connected to the Onkyo’s HDMI inputs. The Onkyo outputs via HDMI to my Television. I get video from all three connections, but no audio.
I seem to have a problem with digital audio processing. Right now the only sound I get is through the headphone jack when selecting my computer (which is a DVI output converted to HDMI for Video, with a analog input to the GAME input via RCA plugs from the computer audio. . It will play both audio and video on the computer only. I have tried using a coaxial input for the Computer, and both the coaxial and opticall inputs for the Oppo Blu Ray and Sony DVD players, (changing the configuration in setup each time) but still no sound.
I’ve swapped HDMI connections, still no luck. Any suggestions?.

Factory Reset Didn't Work

I tried the factory reset you suggested (it wiped out all my programming) but no luck. Still only analog audio from computer is working. By the way, it only works when set to 'Direct'. If I use mono or any other mode I get no sound.
I realize that I didn't mention that this is a new problem. The receiver was programmed and up and working for many months before this happened. I don't know if this is significant, but the front speakers are pre-amped out to another amplifier (rated to drive 4 ohms). But eliminating that with a variable (by using headphones or listening to 5 channel stereo) does nothing (except, again, in direct mode through analog inputs).
Should I reload the firmware?
Any other suggestions?

Hi MeDotOrg,
Have you tried to eliminate the other amp in your configuration and run the speakers just to your 807 and giving that a try just as a test?

I re-installed the firmware using the NET connection and everything is working now. Yay! Anything that means I don't have to send this back for service makes me a happy camper. Thank you for your help...
