Receiver Model TX-NR609 Help

What steps do you have to take to allow sound to come from the TV speakers with out the receiver being on? I have a Sharp 52" Aquos and all my components are HDMI connected. I can watch TV but no sounds comes from the TV speakers.

Hi af0603,
You will need to turn on the HDMI Pass Through Feature (RIHD). You will need to go into the Hardware setup menu and then go into the HDMI menu from there. All of this information can be located on page 56 of your manual.
