Onkyo PR SC886 Have audio but won't play test tone from Front Left or Audyssey set up?

I have audio from all channels in normal use but when I try to set/test speaker levels it won't play test tone from front left speaker all the others will play the tone in a 7.1 set up. It also won't play the test ping in the Audyssey set up in the Front Left. I just keeps asking to retry but no sound? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try disconnecting the speaker wiring for the FRONT LEFT speaker from both the speaker terminal found on the receiver and rear of the speaker itself. You can also try swapping the speaker wire from RIGHT to LEFT to confirm the issue lies in either the speaker wiring, speaker, or receiver itself.
