CD player issue

CD player issue

My CD player is 15 years old. It has started to shut down the entire system. This has just started with several new CDs I bot. The same music plays fine from an ipod. I have run a cleaning Cd thru it several times but with no results. It appears to be playing CDs I have owned for some time fine. Can you advise what this might be.
