Problem with my TX-NR808 powering up

My receiver fails to power up only the red standby light blinks and you can hear it click whenever you push the power om button. I tried disconnecting everything and waiting an hour and another hour and another and etc... to power back up. Still only the red light comes on. I pushed the vcr/dvr button and power button at the same time also but nothing worked. Only the red light still came on. What can I do to fix this problem. I do still have warranty on this. It is a refurbished model from an authorized dealer. Bought in February of this year. I know I can just send this in, but I want to see if there is other things I can try before it comes to that.

Unfortunately;whenthe receiver goes into PRODUCT PROTECTION MODE- it prevents itself from further internal damage with the inner components. The unit will then require to be serviced at an authorized Onkyo service center for further evaulation and servicing. Please have your unit serviced while under warranty to resolve this operational issue.
