WMA on Internet Radio
Radio symphony, the station with the fastest speed on V-Tuner Classical causes a "cannot Play" on my NR-609. V-Tuner FAQ's state that the problem is caused by receiver that cannot support the WMA format, but the NR-609 easily plays my WMA files wirelessly from my computer. Is it true that the receiver cannot play Internet Radio WMA format? If so, is a firmware upgrade possible? Thanks.

Hi jfoss,
At present time on the TX-NR609 only supports up to 320 Kbps. Do you know what the bit rate of the wireless stream WMA files are that work? Currently there is no firmware update to resolve this. thank you for contacting porduct support via our forum.

I am playing via wireless WMA lossless files from my computer with bit rates that exceed 500 kbps. The Radio Symphony WMA bit rate is 768 kbps

Re: WMA on Internet Radio
Hi again,
My associate just spoke with our tech and he said that, unfortunately, we can only guarantee 320 anything above or below may or may not work.

Well certainly you can guarantee bit rates below 320.
I just played "time is on my side" from the Rolling Stones Hot Rocks Remastered Album with a kbps of 937 WMA lossless. The size of the file is 18.9 MB. So my question remains: how is it that a WMA file of 900 kbps will play wireless and not an internet radio WMA file of 768?
