HDMI temporary loss of signal through TX-NR609
FiOS, samsung bd, xbox360 connected to HDMI ports on the TX-NR609. TV out to samsung un55d8000 on ARC channel. Ocassionally, but during ever viewing session, audio and video drop out. Screen goes black and a box appears in the upper left hand corner of the screen with the following information.
AV Receiver
1080/60
HDMI2
Only last for about a second or two before sound and picture are re-established. The message is definately in Onkyo font as opposed to the Samsung font. I had this TV for about a week before I had the Onyo receiver. I had all three devices (FiOS box, bd player, and xbox) connected directly to the TV on three seperate HDMI ports. This never happened before I put the Onkyo receiver in the pathway, now it happens daily. All HDMI ports onthe receiver are set to through.

Hi nabberj,
The first step for troubleshooting any HDMI issue is to run through our HDMI Checklist, here is our blog post on the subject: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/the-hdmi-checklist/ Step 3 of this check list is a factory reset, if you get to that step please read our blog post with all the information you need to know before performing the reset as well as how to do it: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/factory-reset/ Thank you for choosing Onkyo and please keep us posted.

Re: HDMI temporary loss of signal through TX-NR609
I have some new cables coming, should be here tomorrow. I updated firmware when I took the receiver out of the box. Does that automatically go to the latest version, or do I have to update in steps?

Hi nabberj,
Your firmware should be up to date then. Please let us know how the HDMI checklist goes for you. Thanks!
