Question about AnyNet on Samsung controlling TX-NR509
I have a Tivo and Samsung connected to my Receiver via HDMI. It's pretty cool that turning on my TV automatically turns on the Receiver (and off). However, the receiver then switches to TV/CD. I decided to set the TV/CD to the Tivo since that is generally what we want to watch, so this works out pretty good.
My problem is that I have to disable ARC or I get no audio from the Tivo.
So if I switch my TV to the Smart Hub and run Netflix or Fitness or the web browser, with ARC disabled, there is no audio for this feature. The Tivo's audio (via HDMI, of course) is heard and that ARC does not override that.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks,
Gary Davis

Hi gardavis,
Unfortunately that is the way the receiver was designed.
