TX-NR515 DOES NOT work properly with DTS HD Master audio
When I play any blu-ray discs with DTS HD Master audio, I have to turn the 515 off and on with the remote to play the audio. If I don't, the HDMI indicator flashes repeatedly and no audio is received. I have the 26 June 2012 firmware update. These audio issues remain. This has to be the worst piece of audio gear I have ever owned in my life. Your firmware is not fixing the critical problems with these units. Never again will I buy an Onkyo product.

Hi etw,
Have you contacted our product support number yet? If not please call them at 1-800-229-1687 option #3 as there may be other issues going on.

Simulated phone call to Onkyo tech support:
"Hello Onkyo tech support?"
"Yes. How can I help you?"
"My LG BD370 with the latest firmware does not play DTS HD Master audio tracks unless I turn my Onkyo receiver off and back on during playback. At that point it works."
"Working as intended. We suggest you buy a new blu-ray player. Can I be of any other assistance?"

Re: TX-NR515 DOES NOT work properly with DTS HD Master audio
Interesting.... If I unplug the high speed HDMI cable connecting the BD370 to the 515 at the receiver end and then plug it back in, DTS HD lights up and I get the audio to play that way also. If I don't either unplug and plug in the HDMI cable or turn the receiver off and back on, the HDMI light just flashes and no audio is heard. Switching to PCM works in all cases but that's no fun. These receivers are junk let's face it. Software isn't going to fix the hardware problems that plague the new models. Tech support is not going to be able to help me. They are going to blame it on the cables, the blu-ray player or the phase of the moon.
