TX-NR515 Zone 2 sound not working...
I have a pair of outdoor speakers connected directly to the Zone 2 speaker connections, when I push the Zone2 + Receiver button, I see the indicator light come on and hear the 'click' coming from the receiver, but no sound. I checked to make sure it's not muted by pressing the Zone 2 + 'muting'. The thing is, it did work before, but now it doesn't work. I tried a few different input sources (SAT TV and internet radio) and neither source worked. I also checked the physical speaker connections. Not sure why it doesn't work all of a sudden. (?)

Hi Bandit,
Please try a reset of the receiver. To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "CBL/SAT" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings.

Re: TX-NR515 Zone 2 sound not working...
I am also having an issue with zone 2. Though my problem is a little different. I am using the zone 2 preout to another amp to power speakers in another room. 1 issue is it seem the voltage is low on the preout since I have to turn the second amp up pretty high for decent volume. But the main problem is the only thing that I can get signal to zone 2 is the fm tuner. I want to watch tv and play the audio from the same tv in zone 2 as well but when I select cbl/sat for the zone 2 source I get no sound output. Any help would be great.

Hi JKeller,
Unfortunately zone-2 will only accept an analog signal that may be why only the FM tuner goes out to zone-2 as that is by default an analog output. As far as the pre-outs are concerned please review the note section on page 66 of the manual.
