How to get audio out of zone 2 and 3
I have zone 2 and 3 speakers pluged in correctly and I have been trying to play my iPod in "USB (F)" for zone 2. I push Zone 2 and select source as "USB(F)" and I get no sound. This reciever is complicated to work without the on screen menu. Any suggestions?

Hi Harrisjw,
Do you have the latest firmware update on the TX-NR1009?

I have had it 2 weeks and I don't have an internet connection on it yet. I do in fact have the wireless internet USB adapter by Onkyo. Should I plug it in and get it online? Can it be done without having onscreen menu?

Hi Harrisjw,
You do not need and OSD for the update. All that's needed is a router and a connection to it, in your case it would be our UWF-1.

Ok. So when I do the update on the receiver, I will be able to get sound out of Zone 2 and or 3 through source "Front USB?"

Hi Harrisjw,
I only asked if you have performed the update, as to whether or not it will work remains to be seen. The first step is to do the update.
