TX-NR509 to Subwoofer
Hi All,
Thanks for your time in reading this. I'm new and I'm trying to get educated on how these recievers work.
I have connected to the NR509 a FL, C and FR speakers and an active subwoofer.
The display on the NR509 shows FL C FL and SW on my cable box only on certain channels. On many others, the SW goes away and the sub does not work. When I plug in my iPhone via USB the SW also disappears and I play music from my iPhone without the SW. Also the SW doesn't come on when I hook up my PC via HDMI.
My question is if there is a way to have the SW on all the time? It seems like the SW only comes on when the screen says "Dolby D".
Please let me know if you need more details.
Thanks for your help!

Hi titanta,
I'm going to ask you to run Audyssey again to see if it corrects the issue you are having with your subwoofer. The information on Audyssey can be found on page 28 of your manual. To download an owners manual please view our blog post on the subject: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/owner%e2%80%99s-manuals/ Thanks!

Thank you OnkyoUSA. I ran a full calibration this weekend and so far so good. I don't know why it didn't work the first time I did it, but now everything sounds great!
I appreciate your prompt reply!
Take care and have a great Thanksgiving holiday!
