Can the HT-S8409 upscale Composite and Component inputs?

Are there any specific constraints, such as must the input be at 480i?

Any additional advice for connecting several standard definition TiVo's via component cables, plus a couple old DVD players via Composite?

On which outputs does or can this upscaled output appear?

Please advise on this strategy. I want to buy this sound system first, use my existing TiVo's and DVD players, and drive my existing large standard definition television that has only Composite, Component, or S-Video inputs. Then, later, I want to upgrade to an HD TV, presumably with HDMI input. It's for this upgrade that I'm inquiring about upscaling, because I want to continue using my standard definition sources. Then also later, but not at the same time, I want to ADD a new HD TiVo, such as the DirecTV compatible THR22 model (www weaknees com/hd-tivo-directv-thr22 php). This TiVo will output HDMI and surely be compatible with the HT-S8409. In the end, I'll want to play all my SD and HD sources to an HD TV.
