TX-NR807 receiver Empty TX-NR807 receiver

Post  xcal807x Sat Dec 31, 2011 6:13 pm

I need help!!!!

I bought a TX-NR807 receiver last year and everything has been working fine until recently. In the beginning. I'll not get audio or any sound when i turn on the receiver and then all i have to do is to turn it off and unplug the power cord for a couple of mins then turn it back on and sounds will be there. However, now eventho i do that, it doesn't work. the the display screen, it doesn't even show any speakers are plug in. So i have no choice and do the master reset. it got even worse because now when i go to the setup screen, the network, firmware update and remote controller setup are all grayed out. what do you guys suggest me to do? so now, the receiver can turn on but just no sound and doesn't recognize any speakers, the remote control setup, network and firmware update is grayed out.

Hi xcal807x,
Unfortunately, it sounds like your unit needs to go in for repair. You can go about obtaining service to ways. The first would be to contact an authorized service center yourself; here is our blog post on how to do that: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/locating-an-authorized-service-center-or-dealer/
You may also contact our parts and service department to help you with obtaining a repair on your unit: (201) 785-2600, option 4.
They are here until 5:00pm today, thank you.

TX-NR807 receiver Empty TX-NR807 - No Sound No Network No firmware issue

Looks like similar problem with pretty much most of the Onkyo receivers. I will contact support and find out the options. I wouldn't be happy at all if I have to shell out another $500 dollars to fix this well documented issue that Onkyo receivers have.

Regards,
Sachin
