TX-NR5007, no sound from any HDMI source, no internet, no radio - Not good Empty TX-NR5007, no sound from any HDMI source, no internet, no radio - Not good

I have a TX-NR5007 that I purchased from Frys Electronics on July of 2010 to replace my TX-SR803. In September the unit stopped putting out sound and would display "no signal" when using the HDMI inputs. NO sound could be heard coming from my unit, period. You would always hear the click of the relays before the sound would come on and that no longer would happen. NO radio, no intenet also. So I would at first put the receiver in standby mode and then turn it on. This worked for about a week, the relays could be heard to click on. Then the following week it no longer worked. Then I would put the unit in standby and pull the power plug out of the receiver for about 30 seconds and that would get the relays to respond, sound could again be heard and my network and radio would be available. Now I am at the point where the receiver no longer finds the audio signal and the relays no longer can ge heard to click on. I have tried a factory reset. Nothing. I have the receiver registered, but after over 2 years of ownership I cannot find the receipt. I have owned probably 8 Onkyo receivers over 35 years and never could speak of any reliability issues, so keeping track of that receipt was not a big issue. But after researching the internet this seems to be a reoccuring problem with similar symptoms. Now I have an expensive boat anchor. Am I expected to put out money to repair this, what I thought was a flagship model, after only 2 years? What is my recourse. I've worked in the electronics industry for 37 years and reliability is important. I use this receiver every day and having to deal with this really gets to me. So, I assume I will be directed to call the Onkyo product support number, but I dread this after reading so many posts throughout the internet on these very issues. Is there an issue with Onkyo's receiver models showing the symptoms I have stated? I have seen similar posts for the TX-NR5008 models. Was it fixed with the 5009 or 5010 models? I want to get this fixed and back or replaced? I have serious reservations with buying a replacement in the future, should I?
