Onkio remote control for android

I have downloaded the Onkio Remote control and it works fine for tuner and usb. However, I have an Ipod connected to an ipod dock Onkio plugged to the receiver but for some reason the remote controller won't recognize it. The connection is made through the "port" input.

My receiver is Tx-NR509

Unfortunately on this app if you do not see any arrows next to the input you will not be able to control that particular function. I tested this in our lab and it does not work.

I do not understand why this fuction is not working since is part of the application. Anyhow, will the application be upgraded to allow this function to work? Or do I need a special cable or another dock to make it work?
