HT RC360 changing HDMI source for no reason
I got an HT RC360 this week, and so far I am really happy with it. However, its exhibiting one really odd behavior that I want to change. When I turn on the receiver it starts up fine, and shows that it is set to receive from whatever HDMI source I used last. However, after a couple seconds it switches to the AUX HDMI source. Every time I turn it on. If i turn it on and change to another HDMI source right away, after a couple seconds it changes to AUX. However, after it does it once, I can change it to whatever I like and it stays there. I'm puzzled. I'm not sure if I set some crazy setting to make it do this or what, but it always happens.
Any ideas?

Hi dankwijoti,
Try setting the RIHD to "off" to do this go to setup => hardware setup => hdmi and set the RIHD setting to off. See if this resolves the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I already have RIHD and HDMI passthrough shut off. Any other ideas?

Re: HT RC360 changing HDMI source for no reason
Hi dankwijoti,
That's very strange as I was thinking that something was taking control of the receiver thus causing it default to the AUX input. Have you tried a reset of the unit? To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings.

Hmm, its worth a shot. I will try it tonight. Will this downgrade the firmware as well? I upgraded the firmware, thinking that may help, but it didn't.
Thanks!
Thanks!
