SR 605 HDMI Pass through

I have reviewed most of the forum for solution, but still I need help. My SR605 is connected Sat box to sr605 w/ HDMI and sr605 to TV w/ HDMI. Everything works well as long as the sr605 is on. When it is in Standby, the HDMI signal does not pass through either audio or video.
Set up settings are hardware/HDMI/TV control=enable/ power control=enable.
Input set to Cab/Sat, but display quickly switches to "Cab Neo:6 Cin". What does that mean?
Sometimes, the display shows HDMI Pass through, but still no pass through without sr605 being on.
Pls help! Is the sr605 capable of pass through when in standby mode? If so, are there other settings I should change?

Unfortunately on the model you have, it will not output audio and video with the receiver powered off. That feature starts on our TX-SR607 models and newer.
The reason why your "listening mode" switches to Neo 6 cin is because the receiver is receiving the audio signal from the source and decoding it.

Is the Neo 6 decoding the preferable treatment of the audio? Will it always output the best audio regardless of the input that might range from mono to 7.1. Is there a place that I can read to get a better understanding?
