Android app on PC

Hi - I've been trying to locate a copy of the Android remote app to download and run on my PC, laptop, etc. Believe it or not I don't have an android phone yet. I know I can run the app on my PC, etc using an emulator, either the one from Google or the Bluestacks one thats recently come available. There must surely be a lot of people in the same situation. Although the android app is available on other sites such as AndroidPit it is always a link back to the Android Market where you can only download it to an android phone. I'm wondering if you couldn't also make the app available as a downloadable file - either on AndroidPit.com or elsewhere. It would be simple as then to run it from a PC - which would be great.
